Another Korean restaurant on Broad Ave., very spacious and a place where some friends frequent every Saturday morning for affordable breakfast after the soccer practice.
Even some of the soup (jji-gue) types are under $10 when you dine in the restaurant.
This occasion, the 4 of us started with the "pajun" (scallion pancake with seafood) and "dogani" with mixed vegetables. (Honestly, dogani is not my preference since I do not like the slippery feel it gives me. But, apparently, it is supposed to be very good for your joints)
Then we ordered the huge dish of "mixed seafood in spicy sauce" ($55) which could feed 6 people easily. It tasted even better with white rice ^^ -

I have ordered Gochujang jigaeGigae and it was very spicy and taste really bad. I have asked waitress to take it back but she said I cant do that everyone likes this and asked something is wrong with my taste..
WTF.... never never go there.. it's terrible.
I am Korean and I never taste this bad Korean food in my life -

we tried this place just because there is an available parking, the surrounding areas always pack almost everyday but it was for the best, they have the best galbi tang per my husbands review, the staff are veryfriendly and tried to help us with the menu,
the utensils are also located on the tables so you don't have to ask for it, very helpful
the place is also clean -

Went for Daily Breakfast Special
Food - 5/5. The banchan selection is small but tasty. I especially liked the potato-namul because it had a bite like a vegetable yet was soft like a cooked potato. Seolleongtang broth was beefy and really hit the spot in the morning. Beef inside was tender and there was a good amount. Noodles in the soup still retained their texture and the rice was nice and fluffy.
Service - 4/5. Courteous and welcoming.
Value - 4/5. The breakfast menu is only $9 and comes with plenty of food. However there are quiet a lot of competitors that do the same concept for the same price except they provide way more banchan. Being breakfast, I would have liked something egg related for banchan as other Korean restaurants tended to do.
Parking - Street (Metered) -

What Hanbat lacks in ambiance and accommodating servers is flavor. Some of their dishes are for palates better attuned to more complex Korean flavors, so much more than the ubiquitous bibimbap, charcoal bbq and kimchi jiggae have to offer. We had two such traditional dishes, sul lung tang and soondae gook (white beef broth and blood pork sausage stew). The broths were piping hot, intense and rich, and the highest compliment I could give is that they tasted so homemade. And the accompanying makgeolli went down so smooth and cool. Han bat is a local go-to, it is befitting of an area that boasts 60%+ Korean population. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by at the Palisades Park Library minutes away. It graces the first memorial dedicated to the Comfort Women in the US.
